Tribute to a tribute

In 2008, Lawrence Noble was commisioned to take a poster concept designed and sketched by Ralph McQuarrie in 1976 and finish it in the style of a 1977 movie poster.

Perhaps a little hurried, but I am just thrilled to be drawing again.

After six months of not drawing, I return with a rendering of a 2004 image of Natalie Portman. Originally from a photoshoot for Allure magazine, this is a picture I could not have imagined attempting a couple of years ago.
This is drawn on A4 Bristol Board using a Pilot Rexgrip 0.5 mm pencil.
